Cadillac XT5: Fully equipped, full of technology, and attractively priced

The new-generation Chinese-market Cadillac XT5 has a very American exterior design, with a wide tank shield and split headlights. According to Cadillac, the new XT5 headlight set’s active anti-glare high beams automatically avoid pedestrians and oncoming vehicles. The side features tight lines, a floating roof design, 20- or 21-inch wheels, and a Brembo red six-piston caliper brake system. The rear features a roof guide tail, vertical taillights, Hands-Free foot-kick induction electric tailgate, and a double-exit tailpipe.

The body of the revamped Cadillac XT5 is also larger than before, increasing its length by 75mm to 4,888mm; the width has increased by 54mm to 1,957mm, and the 158mm height from the ground has also increased by 22mm.

The cabin features a design inspired by the Lyriq pure electric SUV, featuring a 33-inch curved screen display, a 126-color ambient lighting system, leather seats, a panoramic sunroof, a floating center console, an air-cooled 15W wireless charging dock for smartphones, a wood/aluminum trim, and a control knob with a 3D Cadillac shield pattern. Buyers will also find 24 storage compartments, an AKG sound system with 15 speakers, and a new generation of digital rearview mirrors combined with a 9.3-inch display. The digital rearview mirror has a higher resolution and a 25% expanded field of view.

Cadillac Cadillac has not released much about the performance specifications and data of the Cadillac XT5, but it is confirmed that all Chinese specifications of the Cadillac XT5 will be equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine, combined with a 48V light oil-electric hybrid system and a 9-speed automatic transmission. According to China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Cadillac XT5 crossover SUV will have a maximum horsepower output of 227 horsepower. The AWD four-wheel drive system of the Cadillac XT5 can transfer 100% of the power to either rear wheel, and its electronically damped suspension can be adjusted 100 times per second to provide a comfortable ride experience.

The Cadillac XT5 is equipped with 22 driver-active safety assistance systems including ACC Active Distance Adjustment Cruise, Lane Centering, Automatic Emergency Braking, Rear Intersection ** Warning, Side Blind Spot Warning, and Lane Departure Warning.

The starting price of the Chinese market-spec Cadillac XT5 SUV is 279,900 yuan, and the top-spec Cadillac XT5 Platinum model is priced at 339,900 yuan.
