MG made another "big move" and unveiled the brand-new compact pure electric SUV MG ES5 on October 15th.
The new car is based on the pure electric platform of SAIC Nebula architecture, with a closed grille and a split headlight group. The front face design is similar to Buick S, and the maximum endurance can reach 525km.
Its positioning, at first glance, is to grab the market with popular models such as BYD and GAC Ai ‘an, and it will be officially listed for sale in November.
MG ES5 uses the family "X element" design language, with split headlights and sporty front surround. Compared with BYD Yuan PLUS, it is slightly longer and higher, and the wheelbase is more advantageous. According to the official, the maximum usable area in the car can reach 4.24㎡.
MG ES5 is driven by a single motor, which is provided by United Automotive Electronics Co., Ltd. with a maximum power of 125kW. It is equipped with the battery provided by Times SAIC Power Battery Co., Ltd., with capacities of 49.1kWh and 62.2kWh respectively. According to different configurations and wheel hub sizes, there are three endurance versions of 425 km, 515 km and 525 km under comprehensive working conditions.
